A Reuben is my favorite sandwich.  If I go to some kind of lunch/sandwich place, I better not see a Reuben on the menu, cause if I see it, I'm ordering it.

For a time in 1980,  my dad was the manager of the Harrison's store in Knoxville and Grinnell.  He would have to drive there a few times a week.  I would go with him sometimes and work.  We would go to lunch in Grinnell at a little deli in downtown Grinnell behind Harrison's.  That's where I had my first Reuben.

I liked talking to my Dad.

I liked having lunch, just him and me.

That is why a Reuben is my favorite sandwich.
