A lot of what I do with houses is undo what others have done before me; like stripping a floor or tearing out a wall.
Today I used a "power scraper." Yes, it is as awesome as it sounds.
It is pushed like a lawnmower. It is super heavy and it has a very sharp blade that sits against the surface and whatever you are wanting to scrape off a floor. In our case, vinyl tile glued to a concrete floor. The machine vibrates that blade side to side and it obliterates everything in its path.
Where there was no adhesive, it goes through like butter. Where there was a lot of adhesive, it takes longer/
No life lesson. Just a cool power tool.
